ASSEMBLY CAPITAL OUTLAY HEARING SET FOR APRIL 28TH — The Assembly Budget Subcommittee on Education high education capital outlay hearing which was cancelled this week has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 28th, at 4:00 PM in Room 447 of the State Capitol. The 13 new projects that were submitted to the Legislature by the March 24, 1999 Department of Finance Letter will be considered by the subcommittee at this hearing according to the subcommittee consultant. Although, the Legislative Analyst will likely appeal for a delay, supporters for these projects should be prepared to defend them at this hearing.
SENATE SUBCOMMITTEE APPROVES ADDITIONAL PROJECTS — On Wednesday, April 21st, the Senate Budget and Fiscal Review Subcommittee on Education approved the following community college capital outlay projects. Antelope Valley CCD, Technology Building (pw) — $339,000 The following Child Development projects were approved pending review by the Legislative Analyst. They will be approved at the level designated unless the LAO recommends otherwise at the subcommittee's May Revision Hearing.
