LEGISLATIVE ANALYST RECOMMENDS DELETION OF 20 PROJECTS — In her report (Analysis of the 2001-02 Budget) the Legislative Analyst
recommended the deletion of $64.1 million requested for working drawings and/or
construction of previously approved projects because preliminary plans have not
been completed. This is an annual
recommendation of the Analyst, which serves to encourage districts to get their
preliminary plans submitted. Absent
the plans, the Analyst is unable to ascertain whether projects are within scope
and budget. The projects to which
this recommendation applies are:
