This workshop will explore the ever-changing landscape of community college construction delivery methods.  We will review the benefits and considerations of using various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Lease-Leaseback, and Multi-Prime.  Hear from districts how they decide which delivery method to use for a particular project, and understand the existing statutory authority and recent legal activity related to delivery methods.  A representative from the Chancellor’s Office will provide their perspective, including a discussion about approving the first Design-Build project for possible state funding.  Hear about an emerging method that could provide an additional option for community college districts: Progressive Design-Build.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to contracting and delivery methods, and districts weigh priorities such as cost savings, efficiencies, and a collaborative design process.  This workshop will provide tips from your colleagues to help you make the right decision for your project and your community.
